SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 16, 2006 06:39 | #8 Nice setup there. I have 3 desks in my home I work from. Your desk is clean compared to my 3. I was considering a wider lens than my 17-40, but with the 5D coming, hopefully, can't do it! Suzie - Still Speaking Canonese!

The 85 and 50 are being used less this summer, but they are still my favorites. Primes are really fantastic. I wish I had more opportunities to use them. I know for a fact the Sigma 10-20 (don't know about the Canon) won't work on the 5D (It will work, but will be all distorted). This lens was designed for a 1.6x camera. On your 5D, my 10-20 1.6x would be equivalent to 16-32 FF. So you pretty much have that range covered with your 17-40. Good luck with the 5D! *cameras: Canon 1D Mark III | Canon 1D Mark II | Canon 1D "Classic" | Canon S95

Permanent banTracer bullet - I only use Canon lenses, that is why I chose a Canon over the other manufacturers. I have had no problems with any of the Canon lenses so far (4 lenses used before buying this one) and know that there is no question as to compatibility and build quality. I read up a bit on this lense at this website: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/
