I like these birds alot. Saw one the other day perched on a ledge looking down into the water from about 30 feet below. Before I could get close, he took one look and was out of there. Didn't think I looked that bad!

Great shot, I really like the composition. Nice that you got part of the body in, I prefer this to the shots that are cut off at the neck (even though I do enjoy seeing the head close-up). Well done Zip :)

I like this shot a lot-unusual crop but it works for me...

Nice exposure and composition although i would like to see more of the heron in the shot. Still very nice.

Nice shot Zip, in this perspective the neck looks very long, I like the plant life as well.
