Just mounting it to the camera and looking through the viewfinder the first time told me that it was an excellent piece of glass. You could tell just looking through it, never mind taking pictures with it. Once I did that, though, I was even more blown away.

After a day of shooting soccer handheld, it was one of the things I didn't like about it. The next week, I had a nice Manfrotto tripod and weight was no longer an issue.

Soccer is one of my favorites to shoot, especially children, because I have pretty unlimited access to the sidelines on about any game. (Extra bonus - parents love to buy pictures of their loved ones in action).
