hey guys,
right now i own the canon 100 macro and i do LOVE it WHEN i use it. the problem is that i rarely use it and i don't like having lenses that i don't use (i only keep what i use, i am not a collector). now, i have been doing a lot of portraits lately and i am planning on buying the 24-70L for that purpose as well as just a general walkaround lens. now, i won't have enough money for the 24-70L for a few weeks but if i sell the 100 macro, i can buy it this week. my question is this: owners of the 24-70L, how is this lens for macro shots of larger animals such as snakes, frogs and dragonflies? i know that it is not true macro but i never shoot the really small creatures, i just enjoy shooting random larger bugs and other animals...
also, if you have any macro samples that you took with the 24-70, please post them up.
thanks
Snir
