From yesterday it was the only decent shot i got ,there were no birds about must have been the wind keeping them in.
1dmk2 500f4isL 1/1500 f4 iso 125.

Nice shot Rob. When I first saw 'Magpie in flight', I was expecting to see an Aussie maggie, but this one is certainly different than ours down here. Yours are much prettier.

Not many in-flight shots I see of the magpie, so this is a treat Rob and a good focused shot of the bird. Good detail and Nice colour especially with the blue highlighted.

great shot, exact focus on the eye, as Tony mentioned nice capture of the wing color,
good exposure all round.
How many points of focus do you use on this camera for in flight?

mostly all for flight shots give's a better chance, but sometime's i just use center this shot was ALL point.

Very nice shot. You got the exposure nailed on this one. I would like to see the further wing in focus a bit more and you would have a killer shot here. Thank you for sharing.
