I played with it some in Photoshop but my main concern is my lighting.
It doesn't look good to me....

Any suggestions?

thanks,

Jeff

It looks good on my monitor. By the way, it's a great protrait. The subject looks relaxed and the focus is sharp.

it looks good to me but things I might try would be maybe a little more seperation from the background so you don't have to lower the exposure to get the background black and also maybe a little backlight to seperate her hair just a little more in this shot. Not really too much detail, but an outline might be nice. I think it is a great portrait as well and with a little pp just amazing! Great work

Jeff, it's a good portrait. I just thought the light was a bit too bright on all sides...I played with it a bit in photoshop too...changed the lighting a tad, used a dynamic skin softener and lightened her teeth and eyes...(you didn't have anything listed about image editing and reposting...so I hope it's okay, otherwise let me know & I'll delete it). Anyway, this was just a quick edit...to show you some different options. Though like I said, I do like the original and some people like a more even light all over...so I don't want to discourage you at all!
