did my second ever live music shoot this tuesday just gone.

this time i was using my 50 f1.4 instead of the 50 f1.8 i used the first time and first of all WOW what a difference, the focus issues i had the first time just seemed to dissapear this time. i did have some trouble with the focus locking onto things like mic stands in the foreground which wasnt ideal but all in all i'm much more pleased with how it went.

the photos i picked out of the 500 or so i took are in my flickr page, they are all unprocessed apart from being resized, click the image above to view the full set.

i've already realised a lot how i can improve next time just by looking at these shots but any additional CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is always welcome :)

Nice shot :) Yeah, the 1.4 makes a big difference over the 1.8 :) I had a look at some of the photos on your flickr website, I can't offer a great deal of criticism right now as alot of them look quite decent to start with :)
