Hi,

A quick up date...I got my Sigma 30MM f/1.4 lens on Monday. My initial impression is that this lens is outstanding :) I am really going to enjoy it. So far I have two indoors shot to share.

It is been cloudly and overcast all week so nothing from outdoors yet, but I am going to Old Towne Alexandria, VA tomorrow and shoot some overview landscapes from the Masonic Temple steps...which over looks the entire town.

Here is a duck(s) shot and one of my grandson at Karate class.

1. Ducks: 1/60th, ISO 400, f/4 with onboard flash.
2. Grandson: 1/125th, ISO 1600, f/2.8 <-- I used Noise Ninja to reduce the grainey look.

I will post some landscapes shots tomorrow night as an update to this post

Nice pictures, that looks a keeper. this lens is definitely on my list and it is good to read positive reports about Sigma kit - hopefully their quality issues are now resolved with this lens.
Enjoy, and post some more when you get a chance!

I have the Sigma 30mm and I couldn't be happier. I almost sold it once because I was hoping to buy the Canon 28mm f1.8, but decided not to do it. I'm glad I didn't.

I don't use my Sigma 30 every day...not even every week. However, when the occasion calls for it, I know I can reach into my bag and grab it. This lens really rocks! Here's a sample of getting the shot.
