Saturday 9-16-2006 in my backyard - a couple of New York birdies ;) crops from a 30d & 300mm f4 with canon tc 1.4

Since no one cares I will comment.

#1 dont try to center your subject in the photo... just looks weird. Let then have place to look/fly into.
#2 try to make the compositions interesting.

Other then that you are way on your way and other then the woodpecker you nailed the exposures and show great details. I will have to pick #3 as my fav but would also like to see the bird shot at eye level :)

Incredible detail in the second and third shot with nice colours. The third shot is indeed a very good one with a nice catch-light to the eye as well.
