Female Chestnut-sided Warbler

I was happy to see several of these active little warblers today. Songbirds are the hardest birds to photograph in my opinion as they are constantly moving in and out of bad light, etc. This is the best of the few shots I took. Not crazy about the background, but the bird looks pretty good. Unfortunately, the other warblers I saw were not so cooperative.

Very nice capture, Bob. Most of us in this forum share your frustration with the warblers. So photogenic and so #@! difficult to photograph.

I agree w/ Ron, you did an excellent job considering its a warler; sharp, good color and pose.

You have nailed good focus on this warbler Bob which shows up excellent focus and natural colours on the bird. The light looks good, so perfect exposure, well done.

Nice capture Bob He has great exposure, nice detail and the background is fine. Again the setail in the shot is excellent, right down to the little whiskers below the beak. Nice work!!!

Excellent shot of this bird. Nice pose and lighting. I too photographed a juvenile female Chestnut-sided warbler a week ago but the lighting wasn't nearly as good as in your shot.

what a good catch, sharp and very well exposed, IMHO the only thing is he is a little too centered, I know a crop might not be easy on this photo, perhaps a little off the left and bottom.

Very nice shot. I know what you mean about the BG, but it really ain't that bad. I'd take any BG for such a good encounter with this warbler...you've done well!
