Barnacle geese are common at this time of the year at the southern cost of Finland. They also let you come prity close. Here are some shots taken today with 100-400.

These shots are quite magnificent Olli, with good detail. Focus is good and so is the exposure, well done

Sindri, Tony, Marie, Keith: very nice that you liked them.

It's really interesting to follow these proud birds. I'm still planning to get some shots with with wide angle (using tripod and remote control). >This< (external link) is how close I could get walking slowly.

Very good looking goose! The last shot is quite nice. I like how short the bill looks compared to some other types of geese.
