Whoo; Do You Think We Found?

After missing "THE OUTING" of the summer; I had to see How wet I could get...Met up with Gary, and we decided to give the river crossing a go..
After all Marc (Blackburnian) manged quite nicely eh? So around 07:30 we hit the trail and slid into the water...

On the approach; we stopped in the river...A little tricky setting up here I tell ya ! But good views...

Nice captures here, Ted. Very sharp, great color. I'm surprised the owl stays so close to the same area day after day. And that it doesn't perch in a more protected spot. I like image #2 and #3 the best, but they're all well done.
And thanks for the detailed EXIF.

Excellent shots and such great luck to see this owl in decent light. My favorites are the last two, but all are nice, sharp and clean.

Grest find!!!! The last shot is wonderful, a nice unobstructed view of this magnificent owl with a background that directs all of the attention to him. These are a nice series of shots Ted. Very nicely done!

Impressive shooting. I like the composition, exposure and the colours. Nice detail and expression on the Great Horned Owl's face. I think these images are definitely worth getting a bit wet for. I'm not exactly sure how you guys managed it but you were able to keep a lot drier than this other determined owl photographer. It was very tempting to follow him over for some better shots but my shoes were still drying from the day before. He used to do a lot of fly fishing so is very comfortable in this kind of environment. Still, he managed to find a better, less wet route on the way back.

Thanx for sharing these. I ahve to wait till winter and MAYBE then we will get them here again. Great images overall.

Thanks Wilson; These came together nicely (For a change)..I think I may be getting the hang of things..Gary & I did manage to stay much drier then this guy. And we had a much heavier load BUT after seeing those guys returning from fishing; it appears that we may have an even easier crossing time.
