Hi all,

Here in Brissie we had our first POTN get together today. Sorry no ducks today - or should I say my duck shots weren't the best as I shot them in bright midday sun.

70-200 mm at 70.00 mm 1/800 s at F 10.00 with ISO 160

No.1 - Plain old Seagull

IMAGE NOT FOUND

24-105 mm at 105.00 mm 1/500 s at F 8.00 with ISO 160

No.2 - Great Egret

Love the shot of the pigeon it has lovely colours and good detail, but my vote goes for the Great Egret, nice ones, well done.

Lvoe the shots again Greg. I can't believe you shot a pidgeon...I didn't think of that! And I don't remember seeing an Egret...must have been at Parklands.

Like the others, I would probably pick the second as my favourite too.
Although I am fond of the pigeon shot. I never realised they had such colour in their feathers.

Do you think that seagull is having second thoughts in landing there after glancing at that caution tape on his approach?

Yeh Paul this Egret was in the Parklands. We were shooting ducks when I saw it fly in. Grabbed the gear and chased it. Like Nick said, the colours of the pigeon are nice.:wink:

Thanks for the comments Nick. I like the idea of the seagull reading the caution sign. The pigeon was very happy to pose for Tina and I.
