I cannot believe how much second hand gear goes for on ebay, I've just seen a Sigma EF 500 DG Super flash go for £150 + £7 delivery. Complete madness considering you can buy new for £125 delivered.

Hi I've just found forum after searching for details on the EF-500 DG Super. The cheapest one I've seen so far is £145, the one you seen for £125 was it a UK site. Most of the £125 one's end up coming from Hong Kong and you can end up with a bill from the courier upto a couple of months later for import which usually makes the flash far more expensive than purchased in the UK.

I've also found that most ebayer's don't do any research and in the past when I've sold things I've often got more than I actually paid for the item in the first place!

The £125 price was from www.onestop-digital.com (external link) and if you get a import bill they will refund you, i have bought from them before. Bought 2 lenses for £600 and got a import bill for £14. which they refunded.

There is a 70-210mm push-pull on there right now up to $330 with 30 minutes left!

Who is bidding on this??!

Here's another one that went for $380 (external link)from the same guy. Everyone else seems to get between $160 and $200 for this lens. I'm very tempted to contact some of the losing bidders and offer my lens for $300. Amazing. It only cost $259 19 years ago. I guess "marketing" is everything.
