Wow, Reyno,

He looks pretty cozy in # 1...Fantastic eyes in # 2...

#4 wins mine vote for the best cause of his gaze and amazing ability to rotate his head...this pose by the bird looks to be a very unique capture...I have never seen it in any of dozens of birding books...Great, just Great...Lucky you...

Wonderful detail!

#2 is my favorite.

Most osprey have left here for the year. I've seen a couple over the past 2 days, but that's it. Gone till next year.

they aren't all of the same bird, are they, Reyno? The last shot looks like a juvenile, but the other three seem to be adults. I love the clarity of the feather detail. They've left these parts as well - somewhere towards the end of August.

Thank you all for taking the time to view. Your comments are highly appreciated.
Nancy: You're right, they're not the same bird and the last one is on its last leg of being a juvenile or shall I say springing fast to adulthood.
Btw, I forgot to post an Osprey sleeping. Here it is.

Hi Reyno,
great exposure on all shots,
IMHO something does not look right especially in # 2 & # 3. What was your crop?Perhaps it was your angle but the bird looks out of porportion, Did you focus on his back as it seems to be the sharpest part of the shot?
Beautiful bird you captured his amazing eyes very well.
Regards,
Clare

Nice poses and exposure of these Ospreys. I detect some halos around the bird and wire and a dirty sensor in #2 & 3. Did you use shadow/highlights tool and if so maybe you could fade it some.

Thanks for your comments.
Clare: The crop is about 50% and my position was almost directly below the bird as it was the best angle, considering I wanna stay dry, to have a decent shot.
BD: I'm new to PP and I'm in the process of learning the basic techniques in using PS Elements. It's not the sensor, it's a wire hangin down that I was trying to erase. Didn't do a good job on that one.
