Took my camera to a party this weekend. Never really had done that before cause I don't have a flashgun yet, only the on camera flash (which I detest). Cranked the camera up to 1600ISO and turned on my Image Stabalizer. I'm quite impressed with the results.
The first shot was obviously done without the flash. Tungston light only. I left it the colout balance warm cause it seemed to me that was what the picture wanted. Seemed unatural with "correct" colours.
My buddy complained that I didn't use the flash. I showed him the shot, and he decided that he wanted me to take one with the flash still. The second one is standard "deer in the headlights" shot. He was happier, but I wasn't.
Funny the difference between what a person that has a passion for photography and person that doesn't wants out an image.
