yesterday my wife and I had a superb day out bird/nature watching. Traveled over 200km at a casual speed of about 60-80km per hour, stopped when we saw something of interest. I got some nice shots but was devastated to realise when I got home that 1/2 them were shot at ISO-400 what a doofus. However here is some shots from the day that seem ok.
We saw:
Brolga's (Another pair...awesome) carwled on my belly, in camo for 100m to get this shot.
Black Shouldered Kite (a breeding pair hunting to feed young, they let me get quite close, we spotted the nest could hear chicks but it was too high to see how many .
Nankeen Kestrel (my first)
Spotted Harrier (not sure of this, it was huge and looked like a spotted)
Whistling Kite (breeding pair Hunting)
Wedge Tailed Eagle (breeding pair hunting, Australias Largest eagle, truly magnificent
Rosella's (2 species)
Red-rump grass parots (pair plus 4 young)
Superb fairy Wren (large colony plus 5 other familys)
White fronted Chat
Red wattlebird
Black winged stilt
Black swans
and others.......but these for me were the hightlights, for my wife she got taught to use a digital slr lol anyway here are some shots for the day
Comments and critacism welcome as always
