These are very good shots Nick. The duck shot has a nice quality to it that is nicely exposed.
The Gull has nice coloured legs and feet with a rich colour in contrast to the whites. And a great angle shot of the pelican, good series, well done.

Appreciate the comments, Tony. I know what you mean about the gull's feet. The feet on some of the others seemed even more red than this.

Nice shots Nick, The feather detail on the duck is nice. How is it that the Seagull is so clean but the Pelican is grubby.

Good question. It never ceases to amaze me how a lot of these white birds (particularly like all these white ducks you see going in and out of the water) always have pristine white feathers. Dirt just must not stick to them.

Thanks for commenting, Darren. I see what you mean about the land in the picture. Just covering that strip with my finger I do think it might look better cropped out.

nick, i have never seen such a grubby looking pelican in ages! Made me think of a bird version of a homeless guy. That's what i meant, he just didn't seem photogenic! All in the eye of the beholder!

That seagull just looks like it owns the shore, walking round with its head held up high.

There were two gulls picking on that pelican when we were walking back to the ferry. Maybe this one was the instigator.
