The babies are almost 3 months and wiggly so I know some limbs are cut off but... They were precious non the less. If you have any suggestions do tell. This was a first for me. If you would like to play around w/ PP go right ahead. just let me know what you did. I need honest opinions too. How else will I learn. Will post some more from the shoot later on.

Cute babies. You have years of great shooting ahead of you for sure. Looks like you have a comedian and an engineer here....

BTW - turn on the edit-ok flag in your profile if you want to allow editing. But I'm not sure I would change much in this one.

Cute. Looks slightly OOF to me, like you focused on the towel/robe and the petals in the foreground rather than the babies. I think I know hte inspiration to the photograph too, I love it. They're adorable.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Tsee- I agree the pics are a bit OOF. Don't understand why. I made sure I was trying to focus in on the eyes. Kind of hard to get 2 sets of eyes focused at the same time. lol
Any tips? I got the inspiration from the Ann Gedes pic of twins in a robe w/ a single rose. didn't have the rose but had red petals. I think it turned out great.

I am not a fan of this picture...you have great subjects but the composition is off...it's sliding to one side and is distracting...

I look forward to many more of your posts but this is just not a favourite of mine...

Cheers,

Did you manually focus or use AF? I've noticed if I use AF to focus on the eyes, when I try to center the picture the AF wants to refocus elsewhere. But that shouldn't have been the problem since your focus was on the towel at the bottom of the picture and not elsewhere on their faces. All I can say is practice practice practice, take several shots.
Yeah I knew it was the Anne Geddes picture, its one of my favorites. Even tho I have a niece and a newborn I still haven't attempted to take a photo like it. I wanted to try it with them individually since they'd never pass for twins at 4 months apart and 8lbs difference in weight. =oP
Yeah I agree great idea, just the focus and slight cropping issue. I'd say set up again and try again.

Symes- Thanks so much for being honest. I agree it's sliding off to one side. That was my fault. Being a newbie I'm still learning but do appriciate your opinion.

TSEE- Thanks for the tips. Will try the Manual Focus and see if I have some better luck. I've had this camera about 2 months.. Still LOTS to learn.

Thank you for your help.

These are super cute. The second looks much sharper. I like the first one because it shows their contrast in personality at such a young age. They're going to be a blast photographing as they grow up.

Okay, here's a quick edit... I re-cropped it and then did a black & white with warm tone... Erased back in a little color on the cheeks, lips, and the red ribbon... added contrast, sharpened a bit and adjusted the levels some... Not sure if you like it, but it's my feeble attempt... I really love B&W photos... :) OH I almost forgot.. I duplicated the layer and did a gaussian blur to the whole thing and erased the babies back in. That helps to soften the focus on the towel and bring the attention back to their little faces.... I think. Cute shot by the way.. :)
