Went to Solana Beach Sunday for a couple of hours. Brought the 20D
with the 400 f5.6L. Saw a small flock of Sandlerings come land near
by, and was able to get a few good shots. ISO 400, f6.3, AV mode.

Excellent Sanderling series! You have captured their beahvior nicely George. I especially like #3 and 4.

Which Solana Beach? Excellent captures George. My favorite is the sixth shot.

Thanks all. These were cute little guys that spent most of their time running into
and away from the waves.

Dennis, the one just south of Carlsbad. I was dropping off my stepson at UCSD,
and decided while I was in the area to take a few hours to go to the beach. I also
saw a lot of brown pelicans flying around, but none decide to stop close by:
