Taken yesterday evening, looking across Loch Leven from the campsite that myself and Mike stayed at, part of 'the second fabled POTN meet'.

Beautiful reflection. Was the color of the trees like that? IMO the green has a little of a blue haze over it. The colors don't appeal to me but I like the composition.

Fair comment :)

I've adjusted the image to remove the slight blue cast (due to lomg exposure at sunset)

Cheers

Yes, loads of images, just been flicking through them this evening, I think a few are 'keepers'. and I'll post them over the next few days.

It's very blue on my monitor, but I love the composition and the lone boat on the lake.

Nice one. The diagonal lines of trees in the reflection lead beautifully to the boat. (See ..... I learned some stuff about composition from watching you work, Les! ;) )

The overall bluishness of the colour still bothers me slightly, yet when I look all around the image the foliage to the right seems in perfect colour balance. Puzzling! What was the white balance set to?

Try the larger image EA, the blue is not so dominant.

Very nice Les

All this discussion about blue hazes reminded me of a shot I took up at Loch Rannoch http://scooch.my-expressions.com …es/4446_1529424883/161726 (external link)

Very, very similar outcome , it must just be a product of these conditions.

Thanks for all your input folks, I went back to the original file, and adjusted the RAW white balance to give a warner image.

Both are very nice Les. I have never seen water so still in my life! I just come from a breezy/windy area lol. I have maybe seen still water once... haha.

Beautiful image. I happen to like the haze that is apparent in this image... :)

In all honesty, this is a rare miss for you in my opinion, which is just that, only an opinion. Even in the "corrected" version, the colors seem off to me (why such a long exposure?) and the lines tend to cut across the frame and don't lead me into the shot. The reflections almost do but they run out of the frame and take my eyes with them. ;) :D It lacks the depth that is typical of your work.
It's probably unfair to compare this one to your previous but, at the same time, hard not to.
Just my $0.02US. ;)

using the Attached Images option is hurting this posting Les. Can't you just direct link the image (edit size though) as it does look better.
