Well, there is a windsurfer in there somewhere - any thoughts on this image would be very welcome - I like the clarity of the water and the translucent green shadows under the boat and jetty (lost somewhat in the jpg conversion unfortunately - is there a better way to ensure more faithful reproduction at lower file sizes - this one is only just under the 100 max)

To be quiet honest with you, It would look better if you removed the windsurfer. I could do it for you if you'd like

Thanks for the thought. You are probably right - I will have a go myself on the full res version.

Having thought further on the conversion question I probably should have said what I did before asking for comments on whether there is a better way! I use Photoshop Elements and I saved the image as a jpg. In the dialog box where you set the quality I set to 5. This dialog box gives an estimate of file size which was given as 68.5. On conversion though the image was only just short of the 100. This is a consistent issue with the saved file being larger than estimated. Am I missing something?

I kinda like the shot. It would have been nice if the windsurfer were a bit closer. As boxer said, it's a bit too small. Also, square photos always make me think something was cropped out. That may just be my opinion, though.

I felt it was a bit flat, so I adjusted the levels a bit, added some saturation, and darkened the sky. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks for the comments - I like the adjustments you have made - a definite improvement.

the dock takes my eye right to the windsurfer, so i like that aspect of this photo. the grren algae is kinda slimy looking.

Thanks for the comments - it was the way the dock led my eye to the windsurfer that attracted me to keeping the windsurfer in - I did consider removing it and I have sympathy with Boxer-Kidd's comments but on balance I like it in!
