BTGW=Black-Throated Green Warbler.

Taken about 15 minutes before setting foot in the waters of the river in our quest for owl shots;) . This warbler perched not too far from me and I just took the shots...basically just grab shots if you will, as we were not taking photos at that particular time. Didn't hope for much, but upon viewing these back at home I realized just how close the end of summer is, and how pretty the BG is in these shots. The leaves have already started to change and offers nice colours, I think.

I don't particularly like the bright spot below the bird in the second photo, but I like the shot anyhow...and I like the pastel-like colours of the first shot:) .

1. 1/250, f6.3, ISO400, 310mm, +1/3 EC.
2. 1/320, f6.3, ISO400, 310mm, +1/3 EC.

Another nice addition Dan. I find it so, so hard to tell the difference between these warblers now...For "Grab Shots" they turned out nicely.

These are very good Daniel, I like these warbler shots very much, pose is good, habitat looks good, nice detail on the plumage and lovely colourful background, I see the autumn colours have arrived. Nice shots, well done.

Awesome photos of the cutie. I agree. The setting in both give a nice autumn flavor. Well done Dan.

Any day you see and photograph a Black Throated Green Warbler is a good day.:D I ususally like a little more contrast but these work nicely with the colors and light. Pretty nice for grab shots.

Yes, they can be confusing this time of year! Thanks for the comments guys...
