what a misserable month this is, i tried some forest /field locations for birds ,absolutly nothing, i then thought coastal area at least i will get some gulls, but still very hard ,the gulls were well out to sea, but i did manage a juvenille herring gull,
this was with the s2 plus teleconverter,
i have in included a small pano of the location i take most of my sea bird pics,
at the far end of the cliffs you will see the bird droppings staining the cliffs, this is from kittiwakes and is present all year round, it also acts as a guide to the auks to a safe breeding ground, from where i took the pano to the kittiwake /auk colony is a half hour walk, from where i park my car its a one and a half hour walk, during the breeding season no mattter what im carrying rucksack/cameras/tripod it only sems a ten minute walk ,it,s not untill the return journey the real distance is realised
