Alicia and I took some pictures this Saturday for her portfolio. During a short break she was just walking around and for some reason I took this photo on a whim. I really liked how this photo came out and wanted to do something with it. So I played with it and this is what I came up with. I was undecided on the crop. I wanted to add as much surrounding as I could instead of her filling up most of the frame. Also I wonder if her dress is too blown out. Would like to know what you think. As always, C&C welcomed.

On my computer the dress is blown Art. Try using your curves and levels.

Thanks Dooglla. I was afraid of that. I'll work on it and see if I can make it better.

I like it - I do find the blown dress is a bit distracting and I actually also find the shoes a bit distracting.. I think they'd be easy to clone out though ;)

I like the overall feel of the shot.

Thanks Jim. I'm not really that good with the clone tool:o But I'll give it a try.

I wish I knew more about Photoshop. I took a look at it and trying to clone out the shoes would be difficult for me. I would probably botch it up. I would love to do something with this photo, like a dreamy setting, and give her an 8X10. A fellow POTN member has been kind enough to work on it for me. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks William. The consenous is that it would have been better if she was barefoot. I have to agree. This was a grab shot. If I could do it all over again I would have told her to take of her shoes.

Does anybody else picture Alanis Morrisette from Dogma in this shot?

Art, I like it. Maybe just a slight level adjustment for a less foggy look.
