Does anyone know of a firm RRP for the above yet for the UK?

I would imagine it'd be a good 1000-1200 pounds, wouldn't you? Haven't heard a definite for anywhere. Just the MSRP of $1,599 USD.

I'm hoping it's toward the lower end if anything. Your price equates to £850, so sub £1k would be nice. £750 import would be even nicer.

Yes I realise that's not likely.

i very much doubt it will be below the 35L in price, considering its 1.2, i reckon £1100-1200 is prob the best guestimate for UK price

I fear you're right - about $2200 then.

Quelle surprise.

i must admit although tempted at the moment i don't feel i would get much use out of the 50L, maybe if i go full frame otherwise i'll just stick to my 35. I do like the idea of weathersealing though! Granted i haven't got a WS body now, but its nice to know such a prime exists.
Its such a bummer that the UK prices are so much higher, its almost as if they just copy the $ price directly :(

It's like they take the USD amount, and just change the $ sign to pounds. Poor buggers. As for the 50, I should think the crop cam owners would get the most use, as it's the 85 1.2L for crop cameras!
