Firefox 2.0 is out now. So all the Firefox supporters better head off to the ftp site. The built in spell checking may make CDS's posts a little different. :)

The web site still only lists Firefox 1.5 but if you look around on the ftp site (external link) you'll find your version of choice.

I tried an early beta of 2.0 and didn't like it - anyone got the latest? What changes?

Not sure which version of IE7 you tried, but the final release version is much faster and more stable than the betas. I still prefer firefox, but IE7 is pretty damn good.

biased much. it runs just as fast for me and without the issues that FF has, namely incompabibility with many sites and having to download extensions etc

Just downloaded 2.0, it's faster. Other than that I haven't had it more than five minutes. I think there are some new security things.
Check it out! (external link)
Just seen a little difference in the tabs.

Get the IE tab add on HERE (external link)for those sites that you have to have IE for. If I remember right those sites are running Active X which is not supported by FF for security reasons.

Just switched to FF-2. The auto spell check rocks as I am probably the worlds worst speller. As a big tabber, I also like the close tab icon in the tab window. I also like the fact that new windows are opened as tabs, not new windows.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

seeing as how I have a new title from this thread anyway, I might as well mention that IE7 does all of that.

I have been using Opera for past 8 months, and loving it. The tab browsing and saved sessions have changed the way I browse. Sessions has eased the way I browse the net. I would never again touch IE.
