I would like to get some feedback from you guys about the sigma or canon 28-200. positives and negatives about both. Those of you that have either one let me know what you think. Pictures would be great. Also thinking about the sigma 28-300. Feeback on that would be great too. Thanks

as far as i know, and this is the case with all superzooms. they are both fairly soft, and other than the zoom range itself, are lacking in most areas over other smaller range lenses in their respective focal lengths (EG a 24-70 and 70-200 will both be sharper lenses). I have heard that the simga 18-125 is a fairly good lens though.

I agree with Billginthekeys. You will not find quality in a lens meant for everything. That is what Point and Shoot cameras are for with their 10x optical zooms. Pick-up a cheap fast prime (50 1. 8 ) and learn your camera. Then if you want a zoom look in the 70-200mm range from Canon or Sigma (Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 EX HSM DG is best bang for buck.) The Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 is also a great lens for shoter ranged stuff.
