hello to all.

at work i was trying to get dragon flies in flight but they where not playing ball. only saw one and to far away. so i packed up went home .
bush bicking down the lane i noticed a kestral on a post so i stopped got off my bike got me bag open camera out and before he flew away this was the only shot i got cropped image handheld f8/ iso 400/ 500mm / 1/320 sec .
after that i did not see the kestral again. thanks for looking c &c welcome .

Real nice shot, a bit soft but somtimes the softness adds a special quality, love the colors, well done.

Very cute raptor you have there. The image is a little noisy and the detail on the subject is lost. Perhaps due to a heavy crop?

I really like the composition of this shot.Its a shame the post is in focus and not the bird :( .

But seeing that this was the only shot you got, you have done well :cool: .

Oh and remember where this post is, cuz they sometimes visit the same spot.Or the surounding area.

Well done on getting at least one shot! Hopefully that now you know where this bird likes to visit you can go back for a 2nd/3rd...attempt. What Alan points out is very true, I have a favourite location where I can be virtually guaranteed of seeing a Kestrel if I hang around long enough, can't be guaranteed of getting a good photo :) but at least I can get to see one fairly regularly - beautiful birds!

Here you go -

Gave it some un-sharpen mask, and then put it through a program for the noise.

Looks alot better IMO :cool: .

thanks alan wot software are u useing and i might put the original up to see if any better can be done. it might be my adobe technic is the problem.
