in a foggy, cold water. I love how the soft white light plays here in the fog and water giving this image a nice calm setting.

What you think?

Ohhh and as Mike pointed out it is a male.

Nice position and I like the elongated frame. It is a calming image and my only nit is the darkness in the head of the duck. A little more light in this area would improve the image IMHO.

tomcio.....I agree, that is a really nice shot. The fog does create a calming, even solitary mood. It is however a male mallard (in eclipse plumage).

Often mistaken, but never in doubt.

I agree, it has a very peaceful feeling. Mallards always seem to be smiling.

Nice calming shot  .

But i feel it needs abit taking off of the right side to take the duck away from the middle, helping the composition more.

Lovely angle and nice reflection. It's not easy to pan in early morning light even though the subject swims slowly because it's hard to get fast enough shutter speed. You did well Tom.
