Steller Jay and Dad

This Steller Jay lives in one of my dads trees and over the past couple years has come to regularly come into the house to collect his peanuts. This first one he is coming in for a landing just inside the patio door.

He's got his peanut and hopped out to the steps.

After a little more thought I decided to add this one in. Photographicly it isn't all that good but it does tell the story so to speak. He's also been known to jump up on the breakfast bar just to the left of the chair and get into the bag of peanut up there.

I just went back and added an after thought shot that pretty much tells the story all in its own.

Stellar jays are so bold.... they scared away a whole flock of finches from feeding in my finch feeder. But they are so fun to watch with all their antics. Great series of shots!

The Steller Jay is a beautiful blue bird, coming into the home shows the boldness of this little bird.
The second shot in particular is quite a good stunning shot that's nicely focused that shows up good detail of the colours and markings, nice shots Herb, well done.

Thanks Anthony. I think I'm gonna try to catch him and his wife some time in the next few days. I'd like to catch them both together if I can. (the Jays that is)
