Superb Blue Wrens

This is the male and female Superb Blue Wren. There are several families in the same area close to where I work and they are getting quite used to my presence now, which is good for me from a photography viewpoint. Male: exif 1/250, f5.6, ISO 200 and female: exif 1/100, 6.3, ISO 200. C&C welcome.

Fantastic looking birds.And if they are like the wrens in the UK, i know they are very hard to photograph.So you've done well

Beautiful photos. A bird that i must photograph when i get a chance to set foot there.

Truly beautiful birds! Some fill flash would've helped in bringing out the eye better in the first shot (or maybe even the shadows/highlight tool in PS if you use this software).

Thanks for you comments everyone. Yes I would like to have seen a highlight in the first one. We have a lot of black headed birds here that seem to make it difficult to bring it out. I have PPCS2 but extremely talentless with it at this point so any advice would be great.

Darn I'd love to go birding in Australia..you guys have the most beautiful birds!
