Nice ones Reyno. Nice shots of the Kingfisher, if I even look at them, they're gone. I had one opportunity to get one and that's after he ran for his life from a hungry hawk. I like the second shot of him the most. Another fine series from you.

Hi Reyno,
all good captures, I really like the Kingfisher, It is a sharp shot and very well exposed all round. I think # 2 is better as it shows his head better, the angle is a little high but with these guys you take what you can.
IMHO there is some signs of oversharpening in # 1 & 2, at least I think that is what it is there is a halo around the bird and wire, also the sky is a lovely blue but looks a little unreal,
Regards,
Clare

Awesome captures of an elusive bird and a cutie. Beautiful perch and nice blue sky as bg. Good for you Reyno.
I agree with Clare on the halo around the kingfisher. If you haven't tried TLR's Professional Sharpening Toolkit (external link)(Photoshop scripts), give it a shot. It is a free 3-pass sharpening tool for Photoshop CS and CS2.;)

Nice Kingfisher picture, like 2 best. Both do seem a little over done. I like the perspective in the 3rd shot maybe a slightly different angle could have work better. Just a thought.

Beautiful captures Reyno with the second image with that great pose being my favourite. Nits have already been mentionned by others.

Excellent series Reyno, nicely composed and posed birds. Kingfisher shots are good, but the amazing shot is the last one of the Ruddy Turnstone, nice ones, well done.
