A friend of mine wanted to submit a couple of shots to a contest that Guess is having (http://www.facestowatch.ca (external link)). I needed a couple of models for a car show we were holding. We struck a deal and she modelled at our show, in return for these pics. I've only been shooting for about 4-1/2 months now, so I am still learning a lot, and I was very pleased with how these turned out. I believe they are my best set so far :D. I haven't been posting much lately, but these I really wanted to share. I would love to hear some feedback on these shots. I really tried to take an effort with the composition, to make them look as Guess-ish as possible. The rest of the set is at http://www.2k4civic.com/albums/shoots/kayla (external link).

So without further adieu...

I like the first shot, good expression, watch for the stray hairs. Beautiful girl. I'd like to see the color versions.

These are good but, I'd like to see a bit more creativity in angles and compositions. I really like the poses, but I do think they would look better not as straight on as this is. Maybe a shot down the wall to get some perspective and some background blur would be nice.

I especially like numbers 1 and 3. The model has a very pretty face. Perhaps you could get her to smile next time.

I'd love to do another set with her that would be a contrast to this one. I wanted this to be a more low-key, serious type set to go with what would "feel" like something Guess would use. I've worked with her before, although never formally like this, and I find she looks best when she's not smiling, but that just means we need to work at it more :).

I like shot one but I think a different top may have helped
