Hi Robert, no filters were used, I was attracted to the rich glow from the rocks in the early morning light :)

Beutiful! Did you have to use any noise filters during the PP? It looks lovely and crisp! When I take long exposures at ISO 100, I still get noise in the darker areas of the image??

One of the reasons for upgrading to an FF sensor is noise, it is still an issue if you try to pull darker areas but generally much better than on my 350D. CS2 or NoiseNinja are very good at removng the worst of it should you need to ;)

I had a feeling you were going to say that based on your reply to a motion-blur stream shot I had posted some time back. The shot you shared was taken in the late evening with no filters but equally stunning results.

It seems to me that either Scotland has the most amazing scenery for landscapes or you have a special eye for these kind of things. Or both...:D

Anyway, It's incredible how rich, colourful and extraordinary rocks you managed to capture in this one!

Great capture!

Hi there yes it is a nice shot, but I am not a fan of the water looking so smoke like if you know what I mean? I must ask why the long exposure of 16sec's?
Cheers Ricky
