Taken today (Sept. 20th, 2006) within the one block area of all the Magic Sidewalk pictures. Taken with a Sony P200 point and shoot. Much better light than the ones from earlier this week but he was in the shadow of a tree.

Must be awfully tired to let you get so close. I had heard of these birds and others landing in cities along migration routes...nice captures of something most of us have never seen. Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

With the Sony p200 camera you must have been pretty close to the bird, nice shots, well done. Canon 5D + Canon 20D + Canon EOS 300

The P200 is an amazingly capable camera with a Ziess lens. The biggest complaint I ever had with it was the tremendous depth of field even at small apertures. I simply can not get a good bokeh from a small-sensored P&S. EQUIPMENT: 40D | Rebel XT | EF 70-200mm f/4L IS | EF-S 10-22mm | EF 28-135mm IS | EF-S 18-55mm IS | EF 50mm 1.8 - flickr
