I sold my 200/2.8L on eBay this week and picked up a 70-200/2.8L IS. The 70-200 is my first zoom if you can believe it.
After dinner I went to a local park with the wife and kids to test her out on my 5D.
Here's the revalation: after almost a year of shooting with nothing but primes it seemed like I could dial in the propper focal length without looking through the viewfinder. I knew instantly which focal length to use. See, using all primes was good for something after all.
And, I must say, the 70-200 IS is not too shabby....for a non-prime that is. I love the bokeh.
