Just curious to know if everyone calibrates their monitor/LCD to optimize their pictures. If so, which package are you using?
Thanks.

Tried Brightness 0-100%, and the same with contrast, but nothing helped. Any Ideas? 7D ......waiting on the 5D3

Its sometime very hard to see it with external light source. For the record Spyder 2 don't require meto do that except to reset display to factory default unless I don't like the how it looks after it is calibrated.

Yes I did all of that........even set to factory spec.......nothing, still black. The funny part is I can see the lighter squares just fine. I'm considering a new monitor at this point, I don't know what else to do. 7D ......waiting on the 5D3
