Alicia in a dress

Alicia is getting serious about building a portfolio. She celebrated her birthday two weeks ago and since she has been helping me out with my photography, I bought her this dress as a birthday present. These are only a few of the many pictures we took that day. I'm still working on the rest. Please feel free to view the ones that I have worked on so far here.

I still have a way to go but would like to think I'm improving. Still having trouble with post processing.

Well done on rewarding her for her help/support. Had a quick look at the PBase site, some nice shots there! I would suggest burning in the backgrounds on some as the dress gets a little lost with the bright background highlights. (Which lens/es did you use for this shoot?) -Graham-

Thanks Graham. I did burn the background on some of them. I'm just learning about burning and dodging in photoshop. But you are right about what you said. I used my 50mm lens. Still getting use to it. I seem to get a lot of soft and OOF shots with it.

The last one would be great if she wasn't slouching so much.
She has got to work on her posture... (Gotta walk and stand upstraight, and push her shoulders back likein number 2)

Thanks Chudilo. I see what you mean. Thanks for the advice. I will make sure she has her shoulders back next time.

It was one of those were I told her just to walk while I took pictures walking backwards. Man is that hard to do.
