Is my G2 damaged?

I've been checking out my new G2, which I unfortunately purchased from a less than reputable dealer, US1Digital.com, and I noticed something weird looking about my camera's iris. When I look into the lens shaft of the camera I can see that one of the small intersecting pieces of metal that make up the iris is bent. When looking at the iris it appears to move freely without interference from that bent piece but I really don't know that much about cameras and it just doesn’t look right. Fortunately the camera still functions and the pictures look great. Any help would be appreciated....

hello,

i recently posted a message with the same question. I'm in the same position. One of the pieces of "iris" is also bent upwards. Nobody ever replied to my message. Hopefully a few people will take the time to look at their cameras and tell us if the same is true with theirs. I'm sure we'd both appreciate it, right. Good luck with us both.

This should answer your question:

In short, no problem. It's perfectly normal.
