New lens, new shots

Just some shots I took yesterday with my new 70-200 f4. This was really my first time getting to use it since I got it last week. Not real sure how I feel about it yet.

i use the same lens myself. A slightly higher ISO on the second pic might have given a faster shutter speed to freeze the action. I guess this is where the extra stops of the F2.8 come in handy.

I wish I could have afforded the 2.8. i was just messing around with it at my sons practice so I wasn't real concerned with stopping the action, I was just trying to get a feel for the lens. It's certainly different than the 75-300

me too, im sorry i could not spend the extra few bucks. The 2.8 would probably have frozen that for you.


All that being said , i love my F4 , especially as its light in comparison to most IS L lenses. I see its your first L Lens, so congrats on the move, soon youll wonder how you did without. This " glass " as the pros seem to call it , is quite something. The sharpness on a crop is noticeable as is the bokeh as you see in your second photo with the little fella heading for goal.
