I have the kit lens and the 50 1.8.... Id like to get something that zooms farther and is good. I was looking at the 70-200 but its $600.
What other lenses are there? I heard there was a 24-105L? is that any good?

runninmann what the heck do I know? More info | Sep 21, 2006 17:30 | #4 What is your budget? The previously mentioned and well-regarded Sigma 70-300 (be sure it's the APO version) goes for $220 USD and the very good Canon EF 100-300 f/4.5-5.6 USM offers great IQ and fast, accurate ring-USM focusing goes for 280 USD. I'd strongly recommend the Canon if it's within your budget.

Sadly I haven't had much time the last two days to do much but take a quick shot here and there... But I'm planning a little trip this weekend so hopefully I'll get some nice shots!! But I LOVE the IS.. Very nice on a longer lens!! Greg
