2 from today gull, kestral being sent off

The gull was taking in the last of the evening sun , the Kestral and crow is a bit soft but it was a long way off.

Holy smoke! That was one furious crow. I know crow likes to harass raptor when getting too close to the nest, but have never seen one that actually makes contact with the raptor.
Love the low angle in #1. Was the camera set up a few cm from the ground? The composition works beautifully.

its the compresion of the focal lenth making it look that way - i think as i was using a monopod 5ft higher than the bird ,see what you mean though and it's not cropped at the foreground .

Fascinating action shots of the crow and kestrel Rob! I've watched crows mobbing Red Kites before but nothing involving this kind of contact.

i was around 40 to 50ft away for that shot .
