I've been saying for months that this will be my next lens purchase. I"m not sure when that will be though, and I really want one, more now than ever!

Congrats -

Fist of all, a big thank you to cgratti for excellent shipping and emails.

Onto the lens. The first thing I noticed is that this thing is (like my other Sigma EX) built like a tank. It feels very solid and focuses quick. Picture quality is great so far. The manual focus ring is very smooth. However, I don't understand why the weather has to go to crap every time I get a new lens. Same thing happened with my Sig 24-70.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this lens so far and if it weren't raining outside right now, I'd be shooting. Looks like I'll be turning the dorm into a studio for the rest of the night :D

Glad you like the lens, I can't believe how fast it got to you. I miss it already, like I said if I didnt get a super sweet deal on the 17-40L from a friend I would have definitely kept it. Maybe in the future I will own one again. I haven't had any issues with it at all, it worked perfectly. Anyone who is considering this lens, grab it.
