Today, I used my 20d for the first time (with a borrowed lense). Anyway, during photo (Senior Year Highschool Photo Class) we were doing portraits with a 120mm camera. I had my 20d with me, and thought I would supprise my friend liz.

I was trying to catch her off guard. Hence the awkward angle looking down at her =)

I think the lighting looks pretty good. She has a lovely smile. The angle looks good to me. I think a different crop and cloning out that orange thing in the grass behind her head would make this even better. Just my 2 cents.

she looks really beautiful! I agree a closer crop might benefit the overall photo though! Great work

Thanks...just noticed the "orange thing" (a leaf I think) so I'll make a tighter crop later tonight. We were using reflectors in photo, so I snagged one while I had the chance =)

I think it looks pretty darn great. Her expression is wonderful and the lighting appeals to me. Great start with your new toy, Mat!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Nice shot Mat.
I like the angle of the shot and your model looks comfortable in front of the lens.

Keep the photos coming!!

Cheers ;)

Nice work Mat.
Looks like you are doing well with the camera side of the equation. PP is not my forte.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.
