I really like the look that you were going for here. I think since there is black on black, maybe the use of an overhead reflector or grid from over head would have given just a tad more seperation from the background and helped define the sihlouette. I really like the look though.

Yes very nice. My eye is drawn to her hand and not her face, but maybe that was what you wanted!!!!! Lovely.

I agree totally.. I love the first pose but the hand is too high to have her hair in her face imo.. but both are great shots

I am also somewhat new to lighting but I have elichrom lights, I play aroudn with the ratios to get the effect that I wanted

I prefer the 1st one personally, but i tend to lean to the dark side... :p There's more emotion in the 1st shot; not sure if that is down to the lighting or the pose though, to be honest.

I also think the light on her hand in the second is too distracting. ;)

I know I kind a like the darker side but the nail issue bother me after someone made the comment, and the lighting are over the hard is a bit hard also I ment to be that way, thank for the comments
