Ok, I'm on to something. I think my center AF point needs help. Check out the photo when I select the center AF point. I am on my elbows on the floor holding my breath when I depress the shutter button gently. BTW, I have focus problems with other lenses so I'm starting to think it's my camera and not the lenses.

Now check out the photo when I use the bottom AF point. Same position, same everything.

Any suggestions? Do you think my camera needs a little service? I have this same center AF point issue with every lens that I have. I'm thinking it can't be me if it's EVERY lens that I own right?

My son is playing soccer right now so I don't want to be without the camera but how good are my pics going to be if the center AF point gives me these results? I'll have to shoot with another AF point????? I don't know. What should I do?

Have you tried Manual focus? You will need some good light but at least you can rule out the Centre AF point and pin down if the lens or the body is causing you grief.

I will try it tomorrow. So if I can manually focus what is that telling me? That my lens is good and my camera has issues?

If you really interest in finding out how to test the camera's focusing do a seach here on focus test. There many threads on this subject and they are very through and have pictures to boot.
