Thanks to all who looked and commented including Zip, canondslruser, beckybun, rathke, Reyno, Trace, jorj7, Wayne, Fee, Sindri, Stephen, Mark, Paul and Paul A

Blackburnian Very, Very Jealous of your first shot!

The colors of the bird and surroundings make this shot and of course the warbler.

I had one in my site but was only able to get the perch he was standing on...moving.....moving....moving....

Great spped in capturing this one and great sharpness to boot.

You may never post one of these warblers again on this forum

Thanks Marc .......hmmm....what am I going to do with all these extra Parula shots?;)

dancad Glad you got to see one too, Gary. Aren't they just wonderful? Beautiful shots, with the third being my favorite with a perfect view of its "necklace" (hence its french name).

Beautiful birds indeed Dan and I consider myself quite fortunate in this case. I was surprised at how colorful this bird is this time of year. So the French name is Collier I take it. Merci!:)

Nice series Gary. The third pose is my favorite of the bunch. The detail in these shots is fantastic. Lovely subject also. Nice set!

These are fantastic shots Gary. A first time view for me of the Northern Parula. What a cute and beautiful bird, photographed well in glorious colour and detail with perfect lighting and pose of the bird all complete with a natural environment, it's magic, well done.

WOW! Gary; these turned out to be beautiful captures. I wasn't so lucky (Only back shots).
Shows the coloration nicely, with excellent details. # 1 is my particular favorite; but the front view is exceptional.

Just getting back from an "ALL SECTIONS" camp with the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, & Venturers. What an amazing weekend (If only I had my camera gear; and was alowed to play). So many opportunities that I would have been (still great) in heaven with numerous photo ops...
On one hike with the beavers (These kids are 4-7 yrs of age); we managed to see:
Great Blue Herons (4) - ready for a prortrait; and not shy; Rough-legged & Red-tailed Hawk within minutes of each other; Diving Osprey (Successful catch included); 3 Common Loons; and at the first night "Mug Up" (Hot chocolate & cookie before bed) a hooting owl came very close to camp; I & some of the older kids (Venturers) went for a walk to see if we could locate it; and did, 1 other leader claimed it to be a long-eared....BUT I think it was more like a Great-Horned...
Needless to say....
But the kids had a blast seeing all these great birds.

What a beautiful little bird! Never seen it before. That lens looks like it is pretty fast if he never stopped moving...

Very nice. That one still has a bit of the near-breeding plumage 'necklace'. Excellent shots.
