Good action shots. "Near Ottawa river"...near Ottawa, or elsewhere along the river? I really like the pose in the 5th shot. Nice first post, and looking forward to more.

#3 seems to be an interesting shot, but it would probably work even better as a vertical crop...I agree that it needs a bit more space around the top. Welcome to the Forum....including some details on the shot will sometimes get you more comments...what's the camera, lens and shooting data? Nice way to start here. Let's see lots more.

Shot these with a 30D and 100-400 Canon lens, Handheld @ f/5.6, ISO-200, 400-mm, Spot metering, AV. Hope this helps. Thanx for the comments and your input... :)

Real nice shots, love the action. #2 looks a bit soft, I assume this is a large crop? Keep it up.

Excellent shots.. Interesting poses.

I'd love to get that close. We have lots of them, but where I live, you can't get within 500 meters of one. They're long gone if you try get closer.
