Going down to B.W. Monday. I am planning on only taking 1 body and lens. I hope to finally shoot some hummers in addition to butterflies even if they are in a large aviary.

Which lens 100mm Macro or 70-200 f2.8 , Flash ? No tripods or monopods allowed for some reason. Any other insight is welcomed if you have been there or a place like it.

If you have any pictures to share from there post them please.

Thanks

Definitely the 70-200 if you only want one lens. You won't be able to get macro shots of the butterflies but you will get a chance at the hummers and whole butterflies.

Bring the flash, go for high speed sync with the hummers.

Have fun!!! I can't wait to see what you come home with :)

Is it the 70-200 IS? Since no tripod or monopod, the IS will come in handy. Definitely bring your flash.
Ideally, bring both lenses just in case. :)

Thanks for the suggestions Dazzle and Fee. Will definetly bring my flash. No IS on this lens. Only room for one lens. I am going down to the Dolphins game and the Miami area for a couple days in my friends vette. Between two sets of clubs, overnight bag and a beer cooler space is at a premium. large camera bag has to stay behind this time.
